Yes, you can attend the symposium without submitting a paper. The Africa Electricity Symposium 2026 is open to all academics, industry professionals, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders interested in advancing electricity research and innovation in Africa.
While paper submissions are encouraged for those wishing to present their research, attendance is free for both in-person and virtual participants, whether or not they submit a paper.
No, participants are responsible for their own accommodation and travel arrangements. The committee can support you in providing a support letter for visa application.
Yes. Symposium proceedings, selected presentations, and some audio/video recordings will be published within two months after the event.
Papers selected for journal publication may take longer due to additional review and editorial processes.
