01 / EWEOC Unit
Call & Dispatch Unit
The Call & Dispatch Unit provides a centralized pathway for receiving emergency calls, community feedback and requests for assistance. Through Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA), concerns and needs are documented, categorized, analysed and escalated for timely action.
Access: Toll-free 0800 211 088 and Short Code 915. The unit also coordinates ambulance dispatch for timely emergency services.
02 / EWEOC Unit
Situation Room
The Situation Room is activated during emergencies to coordinate ongoing response activities, align priorities and support resource mobilization. It provides a common coordination space for emergency task-force leadership and relevant operational teams.
Core role: Coordinating response activities and resource mobilization.
03 / EWEOC Unit
Operations Room
The Operations Room supports continuous hazard monitoring, real-time situational analysis and production of timely information products. Its digital infrastructure enables monitoring, data analysis, mapping, situation updates and strategic briefs that inform preparedness and emergency decision-making.
Core role: Monitoring hazards, analysing data and producing timely updates.
04 / EWEOC Unit
Heritage Hub
Preserves and shares URCS institutional memory, including branch histories, oral testimonies, photographs, documents, programme learning, research outputs and emergency response lessons.
Provides a collaborative space for developing, testing and showcasing new ideas, digital solutions and climate-smart approaches to humanitarian action.
